    I was wondering...
Im pretty new with athlon installtions but not with P4 since I always go P4.
But anyways here is the specs: K7N2 Delta-L
    http://www.msi.com.tw/program/produc...il.php?UID=436

I was wondering Im adding the cpu Im going to buy is a 2500 XP+BARTON
But when I look at the requirements I don't see the barton support.

    CPU
    • Supports Socket A for AMD® Athlon™/Athlon™ XP/Duron™
    processors @FSB 266/333/400
    • Supports up to Athlon™ XP 3000+ processor or higher
    Does it support BARTON?

Then when I searched for support for barton system I found this.
    http://www.msi.com.tw/program/suppor...il.php?UID=393

    -----------------------------------------------------------------
    BIOS Type
    Award® BIOS File Sizes 284KB

    Version
    3.1 Update date 2002-12-20

    Update Description
Support AMD Barton XP2500+ (FSB333) CPU

    Special note
    1. This BIOS is for K7N2 (MS-6570) and K7N2G-L only.
    2. This BIOS cannot be used on K7N2G-ILSR ,

    Download 6570v31.exe
    -----------------------------------------------------------------
Okay how can I download that if you need an update to support a barton if a barton is installed it wont work since the BIOS does not support the BARTON till you update this. Im a bit confused help? Thanks.

But in anycase why I choose this model since its a good model and its cheap 105CDN.

Supports up to Athlon™ XP 3000+ processor or higher
The XP3000+ is a Barton so it certainly will run an XP2500+ (in fact it will run the XP3200+ Barton and FYI Thoroughbreds finished at XP2700+).

Yep it'll run any AMD Athlon XP CPU on the market, (not Athlon64) without any problems as long as you have a fairly new bios on it.
