I got an a7n8x-e deluxe, with the 5.1 nforce audio. I finally got a 5.1 speaker system today the creative t5400. So I hooked it all up and fired up winamp, but it only plays the front and rear, not the center or sub. I mean the sub still works, and produces bass, but when i watch it thrugh nvmixer there is no green bar for sub or center.... I tested the speakers and they all play and are hooked up right. Its like winamp doesnt play 5.1 or something? Im using directsound for output and it says its playing in 5.1 mode... why arent i getting center channel? DO I need some other audio player?

    Thanks
    Dan

Im looking at the nvidia mixer control and i cant find the option you described. I have a LFE crossover frequency checkbox which makes bass tones play through the center channel, but no create center channel. What am I doing wrong here?

    try foobar2000 ( at http://www.foobar2000.org/ ), it's the best sounding music app I've ever used (and it's freeware :D )
If i ever get around to building a media PC, you can bet I'll be using that^ for all my choice audio.

Weird, 5.1 never worked in 2.91 with my old 8RDA+

Winamp 2.8 Classic works fine 5.1 with both my 8RDA+'s as well as my P4P800 Deluxe onboard s/c's and Logitech 640's.
