    Default ram for sockets 754 / 939?????

    do you need special memory for m/b's with these sockets or is PC3200 ok to use?

    754 ... i belive requires ECC/registered ram buffered too. 939 can use Standard Pc3200

    Your completely wrong.... Socket 754 does not require registered RAM, and I doubt any socket 754 motherboards will work with socket 754 RAM. Socket 940 requires ECC registered RAM, but socket 940 is kind of silly unless you need dual Opterons or something...

    The only memory you need is 184-pin (the only pin-count for DDR) unbuffered & non-ECC DDR that's preferrably PC3200.
