Depends on who you ask Most are going with th DFI LP Ultra Expert but some sites have test that show the Asus to be slightly ahead on most satble OC and it requires far less jumper pin manipulation for SLI setup. Get some opinions from them what own both!

DFI is good for those people who really know what they're doing in BIOS/troubleshooting and the ASUS for those that want a bit more quality with a BIOS that's more user friendly (you really need to understand the finer points of a DFI BIOS to get the most out of them or troubleshoot them, not to mention getting around the substandard manual and substandard troubleshooting 4 LED's which most of the time send you in the wrong direction).

Look at the MSI Diamond Plus as well. In my experience, MSI makes the easiest to setup board. They are stable and very overclockable. ANd this new board has all the options of the DFI boards, including Vdimm up to 4.0V, AND dual 16X PCI-E lanes. It is a very nice looking board, I'd choose it over either of those boards any day.

Yeah, it's for those reasons I may just go back to MSI if Soltek doesn't produce a 500mhz FSB 939 SLI board soon.................which IMHO isn't very likely to happen.

    Err... no....

do you mean a 5x HT board? There's no FSB on any socket 939 systems (except as an option in some BIOSes so it's more recognizable), and even the HyperTransport link is never 500MHz (unless you severely underclocked it after you had too much whiskey again).
