It would be quiet but I have 1 noisy Vantek that blows like a turbine. A crappy generic case which with cammo paint and holes all over.

Cosidering DFI has hardly managed to produce ANYTHING that can be labeled "enthusiast" since their excellent N-Force 4 motherboards, this board better work as well as they say as most people have become tired of waiting for them to release anything and have gone to other makers.

    LOL!
    NO!
the nforce4 lanparty boards are abosolutly awesome compared to others.

the ultra-d that my bro has, for example, has superb overclocking options, prime95+ built into the bios, as well as fan speeds controlled by both temp and bios.
its a beautiful peice of hardware that anyone would be proud of.
    System Specs:
    AMD athlon 64 3200 venice @ 2.4ghz
    Asrock Dual-939SATA2
    Sapphire Radeon X800GTO2 chip r430 @ 480mhz core/540mhz mem with 1.6v vcore
    1gb Corsair XMS TwinX PC3200 timings 2-3-3-6 at 400mhz
250gb Hitatchi deskstar T7K500 SATAII disk
    160gb samsung spinpoint PATA disk
    Asus 1608P2 DVD+/-RW Dual Layer
Unbranded 500W PSU single 17A rail
Innovatek and Asetek Watercooling (triple fan radiator)
    LOTS OF METAL

dunno about where you are, but the very "top of the line" nf4 boards, like the SLI xpert version, were very expensive, like 150 ($300 or near enough) and still around 130.
the lanparty ultra-D is a very good buy and if i saw one for 50 i would buy it.

I agree 110% that the Nforce 4 Lanparty boards were the best Nforce 4 motherboards produced, but DFI has definitely not been able to produce a Conroe motherboard that has been anything more than average. Plus, there are growing reports of the 680i chipset having MAJOR memory issues causing people to severely underclock their memory just to get the boards to run. I do love DFI boards, but they have lost their edge as to being the premier overclocking board and nowadays, most high end boards come with all the bios tweaks that only DFI used to offer. Hopefully Nvidia will figure out what is wrong with their chipset and we can once again have some great boards from DFI.
