    Default Msi 975x

I'm thinking about picking up an MSI 975X Platinum Power Edition for my new C2D E6700. I also plan to grab some Corsair XMS2 2x1024-8500 DDR2 to go with it. Anybody out there have a similar set-up. Any obvious compatability problems with the RAM?

I am not using an MSI board, but that same memory works great in my Gigabyte P965 based system with the E6600.

The only real "complaint" for Corsair ram is that you never know what chips they are made out of. Of course, that only matters if you are an extreme overclocker. Otherwise, Corsair has always put out a quality product and I have seem little to no issues with them and C2D as well. Besides, most memory issues are user error with these C2D motherboards. Some people do not have the patience (or brains) to set them up properly. Just be mindful of what voltage they want for their rated specs and you'll be fine. They should almost certainly be SPD timed to boot at low voltages anyways.
