Question PCI Express 2.0 Compatible board?

I'm looking for a PCI Express 2.0 compatible board so that I can snag one of the new 8800 GTS G92 based graphic cards when they come out on the 11th.

Unfortunately, I have no idea what Motherboard that would be.

Can anyone recommend a board(s) that has PCI Express 2.0 slot(s) and can support a Intel Core 2 Dou E6850 CPU?

PCI Express 2.0 is backwards compatible with PCI Express 1.0 and any 2.0 card will work in any 1.0 motherboard.

There are no current cards, including these PCI-E 2.0 cards that can even fully saturate the PCI-E 1.0 16X bus. This is for now a useless spec that will come into play in future cards but not current or even next gen cards.

Thumbs up Thanks for the help!

I’ll keep the PCI-E 2.0 card's backwards compatibility in mind. Maybe I’ll grab one of the new GTS cards and just run it off of a PCI-E 1.0 slot till I have more of a reason to upgrade my motherboard.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Thanks for the help everyone, you just saved me a massive headache from when I'd learn that I didn’t need a new expensive MOBO after all.
