    Default 775i945gz question

    I have Asrock 775i945gz MB.Can i put new videocards (with pci-e x16) like 9600gt or 8800gt? It writing that i have agi slot ( pci-e x4).And if the card is runong,will it work on 100% or lower?

    Um... AGP is not PCI-E x4. The slots are not compatible and are even located in slightly different places on the graphics adapter. If your mainboard supports only AGP, then no, you cannot use ANY PCI-E board in your rig.

    Trust ASRock to come up with such a stupid name ("AGI slot") for a physical 16x PCI-E slot which is only 4x electrical connected.

    What ever card you put in there it will be bottlenecked and the more powerful the card the more the bottleneck will show up so don't bother going past a mid-range card IMHO.
