Just giving a status update. Still waiting on my RMA'd GA-7VRXP MOB.

I hoping I hear something this week.

P.S. Also, still no response from Gigabyte to either of the 2 e-mails I had sent them (see earlier posts).

I had also e-mailed Gigabyte in response to the status of my RMA. The RMA "pdf" form that Gigabyte sent back to me via e-mail stated the following at the bottom:

"Inquiries may ONLY be made via FAX at: 626-854-9339 or e-mail at blancagarcia@giga-byte.com"

Well after trying to inquire twice via e-mail to "blancagarcia@giga-byte.com" all I get is a returned undeliverable e-mail message stating the following:

    ************************************************** *
    Sent >>> RCPT TO: <blancagarcia@giga-byte.com>
    Received <<< 550 unknown user <blancagarcia@giga-byte.com>

Could not deliver mail to this user.
    ************************************************** *

Thought maybe I typed the e-mail address wrong or read it wrong but that wasn't the case. It was exactly as appeared on their RMA form. I haven't faxed them for status but I'm pretty sure the fax number is good. I got a fax tone when I dialed the number from my home phone.

Just can't beat their customer service. :shoot3:

As before I'll update this thread when I get my board back from being "re-worked".

Actually I never had a problem calling them and speaking to one of their tech. support reps. The problems been reaching them via e-mail. I have yet to get a valid RMA status update e-mail address from Gigabyte. Also, have e-mailed them twice off a direct link from their web site:

    URL: http://www.giga-byte.com/support/support.htm

At the bottom of the URL their is a link titled: "Gigabyte Service E-mail". Selected "USA" under the Choose Country drop down box.

    URL: http://www.giga-byte.com/support/question.asp

Have yet to get any response from any e-mail I've sent them. I've seen this with many companies but bottom line is if your not going to support an e-mail address then DON'T SET ONE UP ON YOUR SUPPORT PAGE!

Just letting people know I'm still waiting for my "re-worked" REV. 1.1 MOB.

Gigabyte recieved my RMA on 7/25/02. 14 days have passed so far......hoping to hear something soon but have yet to get any response to any e-mails sent.

    **************2 Weeks and counting******************

Haven't had a chance to call them during business hours but plan on doing so tomorrow for an ETR on sending back the MOB.

Just letting you know what to expect if you RMA your board back to Gigabyte.

Just spoke with Gigabyte at 626-854-9338 (for those who don't have the phone number). I spoke to their RMA dept. (Olisha was her name) I asked her about the status of my RMA MOB. She told me it would be shipped out this this Friday (Aug. 9th, 2002).

They ship our UPS Ground delivery and reported it should take 3 days to ship. However, I checked UPS web site and found that UPS Ground Shipping (residential) is 5 days. This is based on the origin shipping address being California and destination address being New Jersey.

I'm going nuts waiting for this board

Based on this latest information I guess I'll expect the board around: August 16th ?

Something I copied below. Found this over on another forum (very interesting):

GA-7VRXP Rev 1.1 users... Interesting thing I found today... LOOK
So the big debate I had between sending in the board to get it reworked or to take it back to where I bought it has been ended. I decided to check out my mboard just a little bit.

Obviously you have all seen this image - 7VRXP Rev 1.1 not reworked...
