Default SLI on Asus P5k-e P35

I have the P5k-e wifi motherboard with 2 PCIe sockets. I have just bought a second 8800 GTS 320 superclocked from EVGA in the thought of getting a cheapish graphical performance boost.

whilst looking at performance expectations i am devastated to discover that Intel chipsets dont support SLI! these thread i read are quite old mind so I was wondering can anyone confirm that this is still the case and i have just wasted my money?

Do drivers from tweaktown fix it? are there any other ways to get these two running together?

PS i used to use the old forum but my password and user didnt work, been using tweaksrus for years!<!-- google_ad_section_end -->

Some of the new intel chipsets will support SLI. I believe it's the p55 and p58 series chipsets with socket 1156 and 1366 They will support SLI and crossfirex.
