Hi all I'm new to this forum and hope someone can give me their opinion or thoughts on the following
I'm building a new box for video editing and a bit of gaming
There is no budget as it changes all the time ($A up)
I was thinking of an Asus P4533-E with 2.4 cpu
Unsure of video card and case any thoughts ?
The box I have now has a IEEE1394 and ATA100 controller that I can reuse
I have looked back previous pages and other sites to try and find answers but I have failed
    Any thoughts please
Sorry about the which motherboard tread I'd imagine you'd get sick of them
    Thanks in advance

Look at getting something like a P4E533 )I845E) with a 2.4Ghz 533FSB, That will give you the best possible power out of that line

Video card, well TI4200 GF4's are selling like crazy and are great overclockers. Try looking at Leadtek, Chaintech or even Albatron are good. They keep towards the budget end of things

yeah I got an ALbatron Ti4200 - very nice for $365, I'm benchmarking at 9200 without trying

my friend got an Asus Ti4600 for $740 and he benchmarks at 10100

so for the money I'm very happy:devil:

take a look at the cases from Antec. they've got some pretty good cooling for a good price.

I'd get a mb with a raid controller (Highpoint). If you use it as raid 0 and get two 7200 rpm disks it will certainly increase your disk speed which is important in your case.
