I understand your preferences, but have you tried the Harddrive on any other system? This is just to rule out it being the hard drive instead of the motherboard and bios. The F12 bios should have worked.

Well, itīs been running on my other pc for about a year, without any problems so far, so canīt see that it should have broken after I put it in this pc.

I recall my brother in law had the same problem, but havenīt been able to reach him today, to check if he solved the issue.

    Ok.. a small update..

Apparently itīs Samsung drives and GigaByte boards, that has a small conflict.

Apparently I have to get a program where I can turn off HPA on the drive..

I know nothing about this, sadly..

OK! you should try pluging the Samsung hard drive in the yellow SATA2_0 data slot. This is an intel controller. The 2 purple ones are Gigabyte SATA2 controllers. This should get it reading to the proper size if it is a Gigabyte controller issue. Also disconnect any SATA dvd drives and plug them on the purple ones to put the hard drive on the intel controller by itself and eliminate any drive compatability issues. Try that and let us know how that goes. Check the motherboard photo out. You will see the motherboard has 2 different SATA2 controllers. http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Products/...ProductID=2631
Also shows on the diagram page 7 of your motherboard manual. http://download.gigabyte.ru/manual/m...3_s3_2.0_e.pdf

Canīt see the links you have sent.

Anywho, the dvd drive is now on the purple, along with the 500 GB Master ( The 500 GB Master HDD was in there in before hand.)

I plugged the 1 TB into the yellow slot next to the purple, no luck.
Then I tried to plug it into the other slots above, no luck, there either. :(

    Hell YEah! :)

    I fixed it!!!

I took the drive back in the other machine, where it worked perfectly before, and it showed 33 mb aswell, so thought that something had messed up the HDD while it was in the GigaByte machine.

I then remembered the program I used with my brother in law, who had the same problem earlier, and grabbed it.

When we did this on his machine, the HDD got wiped, and he lost all his data.
And since I could only see 33 mb aswell now on both machines, I thought, **** it, and ran the prog.

Itīs really simple.. Run the program, select the HDD that has the issue, and press Restore Capacity.

Though on some forums, they say that you have to unplug the power cable from the HDD, but I didnīt do that ( I tink my brother in law did it )
Powered off, plugged the HDD back in to the GigaByte mobo, and powered on, and then BiOS showed 1000 GB !..

    Weee :)

Thx for all your help and attention.
    I reeally appreciate it.
