    Default GA-P35C-DS3R ( rev 2.0 ) 1000 GB Detection problem.

    Hi guys..

My mobo wonīt detect the harddrive properly.

Itīs a 1 TB drive, but it only shows 33 MB ... ?

I tried to update to bios version F12, but itīs still the same issue.
I then noticed that the F8 version, should help this problem, so I downloaded this, and downgraded the bios to F8, but itīs still the same here aswell.

    What to do?

    Download and install the F9 bios. Use Qflash. GIGABYTE - Support&Download - Motherboard - BIOS - GA-P35-DS3R (rev. 2.0)
    Follow these flashing instructions. http://forums.tweaktown.com/f69/bios...h-guide-27576/

It just says "Bios ID check error" ...

    What is that?

I noticed that I already have tried the F9, but, the filename isnīt a match to the link u gave me.

The file I downloaded earlier is: motherboard_bios_ga-p35c-ds3r_f9

The one u linked to is: motherboard_bios_ga-p35-ds3r_f9

In my file, thereīs a "C" after P35 .. whatīs the difference between those 2?

The ga-p35c-ds3r is one motherboard and the ga-p35-ds3r is another. Your title says GA-P35-DS3R (rev 2.0). Thats why I sent that link. Which motherboard and revision do you have?

When I updated to F12, I didnīt press "load optimized defaults" .. should I go back and do that again?

When I updated back then, it went successfully, so I canīt really think of anything else, that the "load optimized defaults" maybe is the reason?

I have disconnected the drive alot of times.

You may need to use some partitioning software and partition the hard drive. The hard drive manufacturer should offer a free downloadable program. What model number and type is the Hard Drive?

    Well,

I would prefer that the BIOS could see it, instead of doing that..

The data on the hdd will be lost, if I do it anyways, and I donīt want that..

Just cant imagine that a barrier should be in a board/bios this "new"

I have a 500 GB drive now in it now, without any problems.
