You may want to test your memory. I suggest using Memtest86+4.0 Below I have provided a web site where you can download it. You will need to download it burn it as a disk image to a cd. Then boot your system with the disk image. Then run a test. Please let us know how that goes. I am sure afterwards some of us will have more suggestions.

Angry Re: biostart TA790GX A3+ and windows 7 hell.

Thanks for the suggestion. I tested my memory and it is fine. I was able to load Windows xp all hardware and worked fine. I also updated the BIOS. I ran windows 7 compatiblity check and everything passed with flying colors. I have disabled everything i could think of in the BIOS. I disabled the NIC, sound, and down graded the grafics. The same end. System just restarts after os loads for the first and is completing installation. This DAM thing has got me stuck.

To add more misery to my problem. I also tried installing Vista and got same problem. Someone please help!

I was checking out the motherboard manual tab below.
BIOSTAR :: TA790GX A3+ :: Overview
Just another thought. Did you set your bios to Load optimal defaults? It's on the exit tab. First try that.
Another thing sometimes the memory voltage must be set manually. Before it will install. Did you set your Ram to Gskills memory specifications? This does not always set properly after setting the bios to Load optimal defaults. second try that if Windows installation still hangs after loading optimal defaults. Another thought, check the power supply. You know the routine.

I Figured it out. Problem was the onboard Video. I discovered this when I made another change to the onboard video and selected UMA without the side port. When Windows loaded and the system rebooted I noticed some distortion in my display right before the system rebooted. I borrowed windows 7 compatible video card attempted to load windows 7 and I was successful. Check device manager notice Windows claimed there was something wrong with the onboard video. I installed windows 7 software drivers for my mobo, shutdown and took out the addon video card. Windows rebooted and everything is working.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
