Default Is my motherboard compatible with esata?

Ok so i have an hp pavilion 061 computer, i think the motherboard is called EL473AA-ABA a1357c (not really sure it says system model). I purchased a pci sata card that has an esata output on the outside. I know the internal satas work cuz im using one for a cd rom drive, but I don't know if the esata works as when i try to use my external esata harddrive and boot the computer it takes forever to load windows then eventually turns black and freezes so i have never booted this drive using esata only usb 2.

If I use one of the 6 sata standard port of my motherboard everything works, hot swap, etc etc. I'm actually looking to a compatible e-sata
