I'm just wondering why AMD or the manufacturers of their boards haven't come out with boards that have PCI-E 3.0 on them since their new video cards are for the most part support/capable PCI-E 3.0. Even most of the manufacturers have not had any updated drivers for the 990FX since 2011 or even earlier. I may be wrong in that there is an AMD based board using PCI-E 3.0 but haven't seen it. Pretty much all of the new Intel chipsets seem to support it. Are they in that much financial trouble???
