Default X58 Extreme Now Delays Loading Win 7

My X58 Extreme has a new startup problem. Normally after the BIOS display Windows 7 Pro (64bit) starts to load without delay but now there is a 30-40 second delay for the first startup. After that restarts are normal with no delay.

I'm afraid it maybe a MB hardware failure and I have no idea if it's worth fixing. I've ordered a new MB setup but would like to get the X58 setup running as a backup if repairs don't cost too much. Anyone had one of these things repaired?

    I agree with Wazza.
Its Windows trying to find what used to be plugged in before. Or looking at something you recently plugged in that Windows is trying to talk to, but not getting a response it understands.
