    Default Motherboard Suggestion.

    Hi I am having trouble finding a motherboard That is good with Windows 7.

    I have an AMD Phenom X4 9850 Socket AM2+.

    Can anyone recommend a sure fire winner?

    well i would recommend the asus m2n32-sli deluxe you can get them used on ebay every now and then but they are one of the most durable motherboards ever made windows 7 finds all drivers for it also but its a good deal if you can get one for a good price

    I'd vote Biostar too. Cheap and cheerful . My older PC is using a Biostar TH67XE motherboard along with an i7 3770K, Radeon R9 280X and 8GB of Avexir DDR3 1600 RAM (originally running a standard i5 2500 before the Ivy Bridge BIOS update). It's been 100% reliable for the few years I've owned it and I only paid £60 for it (approx $96) when it was new. I would have gone with Biostar again but their Z97 based boards are a bit lacking in the UK :(.

    EDIT: You'll need a different CPU if you go with an AM3 based board, which also means you'll need new RAM too (DDR3). Older Biostar boards look like puke, but I'm sure they're still pretty solid and the prices should be pretty low too.
