    I know this may be hard to believe but its true ,I had to remove north bridge heat sink and fan ,use artic silver on it and thats it, will run stable @156..... before i did this 145/148 was max.
    Im using a well ventilated lian-li case with a moded thermaltake 7+ cpu cooler.

    Yes sadly this is the case with some manufacturers as they either don't apply any heat grease or not enough for the job and this applies to video cards as well. :(
