Wiggo, my board does support Q-Flash, and it does seem very simple even to me, but when I try to use it everything seems to go ok right to the end, then it says it has failed, bios is locked and I must write enable it, then when I reboot the system has to restore the main bios from the back up (dual bios) thank goodness for dual bios though, I lost a Lengend QDI board last year after a failed bios upgrade.

Anybody know how to write enable my bios on the GA-7VAX ?

I'll have a look around mine and see what maybe happenin' when I get some time but someone else may come up with an answer before then though ya may want to d/l the BIOS flash again as it may have been corrupted during the d/l. : peace2:

You asked me about my temp again rowdyred, the guy in the store insisted he had to fit my processor and fan/heatsink for me,and then he stuck so little stickers over the fan retaining slots which read "warrenty void if removed" so I don`t even know what make the cooling set-up is, but I will find out for you, hang on, just checked my reciept, the fan is a 4700rpm Coolink U1lite, if that makes any sense to you, but I don`t know if the heatsink is stock or not, it has 22 fins not including the 2 end ones that the fan is attached to, they are of varying height, with 4 shorter ones in the centre, then alternating short then tall out towards the sides, I am also running a 450w
dual fan power supply which stirs up a good bit of air, with its additional second fan sitting just above the heatsink, then with the GA7-VAX AGP fan, and a Fan on my geforce 4, and the system fan in the case, that makes a total of 6 fans runnig inside the case, right now my temp is sitting at 32 C, hope this is of some help, Rab...

Thanks, Rab. Not far from what I have, that's why I can't figure out why you're over 10 degrees cooler.
