    Hi,
I was trying o tweak the BIOS on my Asus A7N8X, and no matter what I do, I get this message (Verbatum) :CPU: Have Overspeed! Then, it will go no further. Anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks,
    Al

I now know what causes this problem, it's the BIOS version. I need to reflash to an oder version either C or E, for the deluxe.

Now I have to ask can I use the flash bios utility that's available, at the start up screen, or do I need to do it differently?

    Thanks,
    Al

Sorry but I'm not sure with this brand but checkout their FAQ's/How-To's as that should tell ya and some mobo's have to be done a different way to put an older version back in. : peace2:

I had the same problem, not to mention the fact that I couldn't update my BIOS, so I replaced the cheezy pos factory battery with a new one, and haven't had a problem yet

I had the same exact problems with my board....couldn't OC and couldn't flash the BIOS with Live Update. My solution= Downloaded the latest BIOS from the Asus site to a floppy and chose "Update BIOS from a file" in Live Update. Now I'm able to run at 2058MHz :D
