Thread: Help on BIOS updating

    Ok this is what i got:

    Intel 810 with a 800 mHz FC-PGA CPU
    and a Phoenix BIOS and I am wanting to Update the Bios.

    Went to the Phoenix website and they said I needed to find the String number.

    Where do I find this number.

    Oh by the way the brand of computer is E-machine Emonster series.

    Please help.

    The BIOS string ya'll find on the BIOS boot screen (you''ll probably have to hit the Pause key to freeze the screen at that point) usually at the bottom left corner. ;)

    oh my god you have an emachines aswel! i need to find the string number and do ya know what? emachines made it so its real hard to find cos of that emachines screen at the startup.i stil havent found out how to make it so you can see the string number and guess what? emachines dont know either!

    Give Belarc Advisor a go and see if that gives ya the string or something to go further on with (sorry but the few times that I used it I wasn't lookin' for a BIOS string). ;)
