Ok I have a pentium4 2.0 ghz system but the motherboard supports both 164 pin and 184 pin, right now it came with pc100 ram (256mb) and i think that like holding down my system performance cause my system can use ddr also (pc2100). so my question is, If I change my motherboard what speed ram will my cpu support (like pc2100, pc2700, pc3200,etc)?

and what motherboards out there are good for my type of cup (p4 2.0ghz, 20X multiplyer) which brands?

Your asking the wrong question. The question you should be asking is what ram will your motherboard support and we can't tell u unless u tell us what ure looking at.
What the fcuk happened to my sig?

Again your asking the wrong question :)

But before you ask something else again here's what you should ask:

"I have a Pentium 4 motherboard made by XXXX model number XXXX, and the chipset is XXXX. How fast of ram is supported by this board?"

Once we have that info we can tell ya what you wanna know. (DDR333 (PC2700)) should work in your board with no problems. It may only run at 266 (pc2100) but it'll still run. But anyway, give us the name of your motherboard (manufacturer and model number) and if you know, the chipset that's on your mobo.

if you support 184pin ram any 184 pin ram should work, you just wont get the speeds unless your mother board supports it, which it does. Your albatron mobo suports ram runing at 166mhz (333ddr) I suggest you get some quality ram such as crucial or corsair. I have dealt with crucial before and have had nothing but exceptional service. If your willing to pay the price. Most ram runs at 2.5cl (cas latency) the lower the latency the quicker your ram will run. crucial can eassily be run at 2cl so i suggest you use pc2700 ram from crucial. Or samsung for half the price is pretty damn good also, the crucial is a little bit higher quality for Ocin but samsung can be oc also, ive heard of samsung running at 184mhz (368ddr) thats almost 400!
my view on the two party system...

Umm read my sig... my samsung ram runs at 438mhz stable (rated at 333). voltage set to 2.7 or else get instabilities, but even still... and the ram ain't running hot either :) Hense, I saved myself 80 bucks and bought the samsung ram :D

Edit: whoops, forgot to change my sig when I changed ram :D (ran kingston ram for 'bout 2 days before my samsung ram came in, forgot to change it :D)
