OK, I found this kind of strange. As stated in the Subject, I have an Epox 8RDA (non plus) motherboard. All components on motherboard were transferred from Epox 8k3a with no issues. Randomly, the DVD Rom drawer will open. I think it is actually whichever is set to master. Currently, DVD is only drive, but when CD-RW was master and DVD was slave the CD-RW drawer would open. I have the latest bios and driver updates. The problem is more annoying than anything else. Sometimes happens when I try to access drive, sometimes seemingly for no reason. Has anyone had this problem/ found a solution? I think its an issue with the Nforce2 chipset, as the same thing happened with the Abit NF7 board that I RMA'd. At that point, I thought it was just another of the myriad of problems that I was having with that board. I am afraid that sooner or later, I am gonna crunch the drive on the case door.

I've had that prob before and it turned out to be the os in all but one case and was fixed by a clean install (the odd one was the CDROM itself).

Actually, seems to happen when I start my internet, as well.
