    Hello guys!

I have a question that really needs answering. Does the Asus P4 G8X MOBO support DDR 333 RAM? Are there people here who have this MOBO with that knd of RAM. Post a reply if know whether of not this MOBO supports DDR 333 RAM.

It may not be officially supported but that shouldn't stop ya from running it and I've built quite a lot of PC's that have used memory that is faster than the official support as it's good for overclocking.

Yes that may be true, but it might not perform as well as if it was officially supported. I might not be able to get all the performance out of it.

You ought to check out the Asus P4 G8X Deluxe. It is supposed to be one of the best overclocking beasts!:bounce:

Man, I hope that when I get a hold of Asus that they tell me whether this memory will work on their new board. Time will tell.

I've never found quality higher rated memory to perform below the supported stuff but usually well above as more aggressive memory timings can be use with ease.

I'll agree with Wiggo 100%. Just because the motherboard is not officially supporting the higher standard doesn't mean it won't work just fine. Many mainboard manufacturers won't claim the higher standard since then it would have to offer additional technical support for it.

    Oh, and Chaos,
Looking at the closures in your posts, I would recommend stepping off that ladder before you fall. : omg:

What in the world are you talking about Dahrtanian (or however your name is spelled)? My closure is just fine and I am not on a "ladder" anyhow. So what is your point. If you don't like my closing statements than just say so and then just grin and bear it because:
