    Those new fancy chipsets that support 533/800 fsb do they also support the older 400 fsb williamette cpu so I can run a 2 ghz proc without probs..:?:

    I know that the 533 ones do and I would guess that the 800s do too. Mobos are almost always backward compatable with any cpu that has the correct pinout.

    Canterwood is not 400MHz FSB compatible. It's 533 or the 800MHz ones. No dice otherwise.

    I'm not sure about Springdale, but I assume the same thing, since Canterwood's only advantage is ECC memory support.
