Thread: what is the difference between 2k and xp

    I have a delima and I suppose you guys are getting tired of my endless questions but Tis the Nature of the Beast. My epox 8kha+ and 20 gig WD hard drive will have the os installed tomarrow, I just need toget a cdrom and an os.
    This is where the dilema comes in. I truly love windows 98se. I know it about as well as anyone but it does go a bit unstable on Ram over 256. So what do you guys say to me loading windows 2000 instead of XP? I have no experience with any other os but I would like to find the OS most likely to run some of my 98se windows games and digital cameras (3 each).

    GUI design and plug and play things such as when u plug in a hardware device it doesnt automatically install most times... But hell win2k is the best it aint really a OS for the Homer use but if u are looking for good looks total speed and nothing else Xp is the way to go but please make sure all ure hardware works first!

    Windows 2000 is my baby :)
