AS I STATED IN MY LAST POSTINGS I HAD TROUBLE WITH WINME AT THE STARTUP. SO I RELOADED IT AGAIN..THIS IS 6TH TIME IN LAST 2 YEARS. THEN I TRIED THE UPDATE SITE TO CHECK FOR THE CRITICAL UPDATES. I GOT THE FOLLOWING ERROR MESSAGE
    Cannot Display PageCannot Display Page

THEN I WAS ADVISED TO CHECK THE FOLLOWING ARTICLES

    http://support.microsoft.com/default...EN-US;q243787&

    AND

    http://support.microsoft.com/default...EN-US;q193385&

I RELIGIOUSLY DID ALL I WAS ASKED TO DO HOPING TO CATCH UP WITH THE UPDATES.

STILL THE SAME MESSAGE EVERYTIME I TRY THE UPDATES

IS THERE ANY OS IN THE WORLS WHICH WILL GIVE U PEACEFUL OPERATION?

If it's the updates that you want then give CNET's CatchUp a go as it not only works in much the same way as Windows Update but it also checks out for driver and other software updates for you may need. ;)

If you have seriously had to reformat and re-install 6 times in two years, then you probably have some sort of hardware conflict causing problems. Possibly Garbage components. Give us your system specs and whether or not you are (have) overclocking, etc.

If it is a store bought computer, let us hear any major upgrades you have made, possibly a video card?

I laugh when people I know who own gateways complain that 'Windows' never works. Hahaha, it actuallity, its the horrible components chosen by gateway that are at fault.
