hi,I'm totally new on this topic about overclocking.b4 that I would ask a few suggestion from u people.

    My system:
    P4 2.0 GHz
    256 DRRAM 266MHz PC2100
    MSI 645 Ultra-C
    supports FSB at 400MHz(100Mhz QDR)

    Main Memory:
supports up to 3GB DDR333/DDR266/DDR200 SDRAM

So, I'm not sure how much increments shall I do to my CPU FSB Clock (MHz) in BIOS.I'm afraid I might put it too high and make my system overheat.NOw,I need suggestion from u people on how much increments shall I make to improve speed and not cause stability problems. And also ,is there any other beginner way to overclock? I really apreciate those who help me.. Thanks.

    cheers!

I use 5MHz incrediments after raisin' both CPU and memory voltages 0.1volt (if ya can) until either a blackscreen or system instability (in which case either increase voltages a little more, back off memory timings or just go back to the last good setting or somewhere in between) plus I test each setting usin' 3DMark '01SE and SETI@home combined at the same time (this will really stresses ya system but Prime95, UD or some other such distributed program will do instead of SETI) to still be sure of good system stability. Also keep ya memory at the same speed as the FSB as this will give ya more overclockin' headroom.
