i have a 512 mb stick of corsair xms3200 (the old model from last year)...Is it safe to use 2.9v so i can push it a little more? It mote be limiting my fsb to 210..althout im not sure. I vaguely remember at some point being told 2.9v is safe..but i just wanto make sure.

2.75v would be my limit though 2.7v is what I use for them but if I required more then I'd go to XMS3500 (oh I did do that) or slow the timings down. ;)

well i doubt ill try 2.9..it seems after about 2.7 u dont get any real gains from boosting the voltage. so 2.77 it is:) and i tried dropping my ram timings but i still cant go beyond 210...maybe better northbridge cooling.

Have ya tried droppin' the FSB and raisin' the multiplier as I've had XMS3200 up to 217MHz with reduced timings but never on a 380w PSU (minimum 430w is what I've used).

I've used 2.8v with no problems but I'd seriously look into some sort of active cooling for the memory if I were to go any higher.

ok ill stick to the 2.77V option...hmm i thought a good quality 380w psu was more than up to the job? especilaly since i only have 1 stick of RAM and one HD. AS for what wiggo said..with my multiplier at 10x and ram settings very low it still isnt happy above 210fsb...althout im starting to think its the northbirdge that needs more cooling. my xp2100 will go up to 2.45ghz maximum@1.8v..any higher volatge deosnt seem to to really help..even thou my slk800 is more than adequate for cooling.
