Thanks for the advice about the graphic card. I see a svga nvidia fx 5200 128mb and the price is 77euros. I think that card is good, its the newer chips of nvidia. Thanks for all the help.

Trust me, radeon9000 pro 128mb will work better in anyones machine. And it won't break the bank. It's 65-70% of the price of fx5200. And the 5200 usually only has passive cooling, as the r9000 pro has active. Make sure it's pro. Also make sure the clock/mem is 275/275. Some companies use cheaper ram on their cards, and would have 275/250.
    Price comparison approx: fx5200 128mb $160cdn
    R9000 pro 128mb $110
    both good brands

Remember, you are upgrading from a tnt, not building a power machine. You will be quite impressed with a r9000 pro, I am very impressed. Also, I believe the fx series is agp 8x, and I don't know about compatability with older 2x/4x boards????
And ocing a wee bit like up to 140mhz from 133mhz fsb will give you an improvement that can be noticed and should not be enough to cause problems.

And that 3d prophet you are talking about, is it a r9000 pro? If so, if it has the good clock speeds, it may be worth it. Can you post a link for that model? Other brands that are known to be good are: original ati, saphire, powercolor, H.I.S.(hightech).Also don't bother with any of the gforce4 mx series or the gforce2, they are quite dated.

    Oh and:
    active means fan cooled
    passive means just a heatsink

This is a plan for a tight budget, and is still good. I retrofit r9000 pro's lots, and have never had one complaint after about 15 of them.

Look around some more, the FX 5200 and R9000 are in the same price range. After all, those 2 cards are trying to capture the same market and are tested head to head on hardware reviews.

Both cards in 128mb versions are about $75 US.

Oh, and don't get me wrong. The guy that ended up with the sis card, I upgraded it for him(lol) with a nice asus gforce2 gts for $59cdn that blows it away by 500%. (Thats all his wife would let him spend to fix the blunder)
Just trying to help and keep it cheap. I have friends in some countries that don't have access to much.

edit: and there is no comparison between pro and non pro. The difference can be almost 100% in most cases. And the fx5200 competes with the non pro. I'm sure lots will agree. The fx5200 is not very popular around tt.

I don't think anyone is reading. I did not and would not suggest a gforce2 or 4 for this guy. I was only finnishing a story about how that customer got burned and the solution that let him play all his games again. He fell for a trade up scam(lol). When he traded in his gforce3 for a reduced price on a suposidly newer better card, it turned out to be a horror story. The gforce2 gts was really cheap($59cdn) and since he was still paying for that sis based 64mb card($200cdn)on his visa bill, thats all he could afford(all his wife would let him after that blunder). He is a happy camper again.

edit: canadian dollars are worthless, for anyone that does not know.
