    High guys. I'm trying to overclock my Barton 2500+, and i have it at 2.187 GHz right now (175*12.5). Although it is faster then a 3000+, the BIOS still shows it as a 2800+, but thats not the point. Whats wrong is that i cant get the multiplier past 12.5, becuase theres no option for it ?!??!!?. Atleast i dont think there is. 12.5 is at the very bottom of the list, but wehn u scroll up the list, it has stuff like 7.5/15x multipliers. What does that mean???? Is there some option that i can set that makes it use the 15x multiplier instead of the 7.5x???
    Thanks>>>:cheers:

    Your chip cannot be faster than a 3000+.

    Those come clocked stock at 2.1ghz with a 200FSB.

    It will be much faster than yours until you can get your FSB over 200.

    When it comes to overclocking, FSB IS everything.

    Again, if you look at the specs the 3000+ is faster than yours in every category.

    A 200fsb will own a 175.

    Run it at 200x11, it will be faster in benchmarks than 175x12.5.

    Yep drop ya multiplier to 10.5 and raise ya FSB to 200MHz and set the memory to SPD, then raise the multiplier by 0.5 till ya can't go no further and then up the FSB till that begs for mercery. :devil win

    lol Wiggo. Ill probably do that. But Soulburner, the 12.5*175 will obviously loose to the 11*200, becuase the 11*200 is faster AND has a higher FSB. But your right, when the clock speed is equal, the higher FSB will win.

    My point exactly, that's what I was trying to explain to him. :cheers:

    175x12.5=2187.5mhz

    Is slower than:

    200x11=2200mhz

    Same clock speed but big difference.
