Hey...I have an Albatron Ti4200P Turbo overlocked at 280 core/610 memory. The boost of 25 mhz core/60 mhz memory didn't help enough.

I also have an Intel 815e mobo with a P4 1.6 ghz and 512 megs of PC133 memory.

I'm running with anti-aliasing turned off, vsync turned off, mipmap detail turned down slightly, and a 3 gig page file.

What else can I do to get my games running faster?

I play Unreal based games, Raven Shield and America's Army.

Any other tweak programs that I can get to help aside from Riva Tuner?

Oh btw...redoing my operating system is no problem, so anything that might risk system failure is no problem. Also anything that needs to be changed right at the os install is acceptable. It only likes like 45 minutes to redo my system.

Also, that's a damn good o/c CPU (if its the right kind of P4 1.6ghz), I read a review that got one up to 2.6ghz on air cooling w/ no problem at all. Get a good mobo and some DDR400 RAM and you should be able to hit 2.2ghz at least. : peace2: Mista K6

Well, RAM is gonna be the only thing that'll hold you back if you get a new board. J/w, you have a 400mhz FSB, right? It'll o/c alot more from your current point than a 533FSB will. Here are two forums w/ 3 examples of a great 1.6a (400mhz FSB) o/c well over 2.0ghz w/ air cooling.

    http://www.techdose.com/viewarticle.php?article=13

http://forums.extremeoverclocking.co...threadid=21256 (Also read the specs on the user 426 Hemi, he got his to 2.5ghz)

    They all used ASUS mobos.

The ASUS P4S533 is the one that 426 hemi used. Here is is for $67, pretty cheap for a motherboard:

Overclocking for a locked P4 would mean you can only up the FSB. So, from standard 400FSB (100 x 4) you could up it to anywhere. If you run your CPU 2.65GHz, or 166 x 16, that's an 60% overclock, which is really good by overclocking standards. Also, the FSB went from 400 to 664. With everything going up like that, performance is gonna go sky high. Also, at 166, that's stock speed for DDR333 (PC2700) RAM. Shop around for some good prices on it. All for all, you should be able to get alot of performance out of your system. Cheers and good luck. : peace2: Mista K6

i'll need somebody to walk me through that because i don't understand the relations in the multiplication that has to be done to find a theoretically optimal clock. are you saying that my board is capable of ddr???

    Is that P4 1.6 a socket 423 or a socket 478 pinout? :?:
