I have been working for about a week on this combination chip and motherboard. The highest I can get with system stability seems to be 12x with 120 FSB and 160 DRAM (1440). I can get closer to 1500 using a multiplier of 12.5/13.0 which allows the bios to boot but the system hangs when it is time to go to the Windows environment.

Does anyone out there know of any better setting combination? Or am I stuck at 1440?

    My 3dmark 2001 benchmark is around 2840.

    Appreciate any suggestions.

    Thanks. Harlen.

Actually, you have done very well with that particular chipset. Most of the KT133 class boards don't do well at anything over 112-115MHz FSB. Your 120MHz is an accomplishment!

The only other way to do better would be to upgrade ya motherboard and memory. For starters ya memory bandwidth is roughly half that of ya CPU's FSB so ya have an instant bottleneck. 2ndly once ya physically unlock that CPU (use a lead pencil to reconnect the L1 bridges) the more modern mobo's can easily get more from it. Remember though that good coolin' is required as those old CPU's really push out some heat.

If you are trying to get better FPS in games, then i would actaully sugjust geting a new video card, becuase your scores are pretty low for a 1.45 GHz CPU on 3DMark01. Unless you ment 3DMark03???:?: :?:
