First you need better HSF for your cpu.
Second your mobo is manufactered...which means you might not beable to overclock the cpu.
Third does your fx have a fan on it?

Nope the Video Card doesnt have a fan.. basically I was hoping I could overclock my system to hold me for a few months and wait for Christmas, when all hardware prices drop so I can build a new computer. BTW, whats HSF?

I would not overclock your fx then. And hsf is heat sink and fan for the cpu. I think you should just wait until you get your brand new kick ass system to overclock the F*cker

From the money I have saved, it should be a good system....but what about overclocking the Graphics card just a little? I have the option in the menu to speed it up.Can I at least go from 250mhz to 280mhz (core clock)? And speed up the memory clock from 333mhz to 350mhz or so? Thanks again.

you can up the clock for the memory. But for the core...i would not
    recomend it.

Dont give the guy hope. your not gonna get anywhere OCing that compaq, it just wont happen.

As for the FX, i wouldnt recommend it without active cooling on the GPU. The memory should be able to go up a bit, but dont push it. Once your picture starts going all wacko you know youve gone too far. FYI you can override the OCed settings by holding ctrl on boot.
