    4 maximus.

You're right, my hard disk also warms up quite a bit sometimes, but I managed to do a hole near to it so it gets some fresh air though it ain't got a fan.( temperature when I switch on the computer is about 37 then, maybe after I play for like an our and a half with gta3 it reaches also 49- but only when I keep the hole closed- )
As for my ram its a pc2100 and from 266 Mhz I brought it to 333.
I don't think I'm going to buy new stuff 4 my computer ..... maybe next year I'm going to sell this one ( except 4 the 9800, that one I'm keeping it) and ( working here and there) I'm going to save enough money 4 a new pc. I'm still wondering for the processor: what do you suggest AMD or INTEL ( I'd like to try one of those 64bit processors).

    cheers

I see no need for a new computer any time soon, not even next year. What you got is pretty up there already. And since the ram is fine, leave it. If you crank up the card, post before and after results and let everyone know what you think of that tweaker.

With the right tweaking you can achieve my score with that setup....no need to upgrade really.

Could I obtain better performance with a bios upgrade?

Looks like you got a good boost from overclocking the card.

I didn't notice you had a 2.0 though, I thought it was a true 2.66 (effectively is the same thing now though). If you can make it over 3ghz that would be a big improvement.

What do you use for cooling?

for the cpu I've got a silent fan @3000 rpm from cooler master ( I don't remember the model but I'm sure it's from the "silence " series)
then I've got a case fan from extreme technology. I recently bought a special kit of the same made of my case fan: it's a tunnel that you connect directly to the cpu by one side and the other one goes right out the case so the cpu is getting air from out the case constantly. cpu temp dropped of 9 with it , now it idles at 39 and at full load it reaches 47-48 - depending on room temp, here were I live is getting a little cold too because summer has finished so I guess that also cpu temp will drop a bit-. this kit is quite cheap too I payed for it 16 euro.:D :D

I've attached a picture of it---
