I've just put together an Asus P4C800-E deluxe w/ a 2.4C and Mushkin 3200 2-2-2 RAM and Prime95 gets stuck inside 30 minutes even at default settings.

Running mem86 atm and am up to 24 errors in 26 minutes, not sure what is typical. Memory is set right now at 2-2-2-8 1:1 200fsb (not overclocked).

    Anyone got any juicy ideas?

Have ya tried increasin' the voltage to the memory (0.1v) or lowerin' the CAS (2.5) to see if that fixes the errors? :?:

OK Wiggo, I'll give that a try next. At the moment I have memtest86 running with the memory at 2-2-2-7 to see if that would help.

Do you all get errors running memtest, or does memory usually run perfectly clean? I talked to Mushkin yesterday, and they say its common to have a few bad bits among the millions on each stick. I'm too new to agree or disagree.

If the memory is good then no errors will show but it's not impossible to get a bad stick.

Most memory shows errors in Memtest86, its nothing to worry about.

Try to give it some more vdimm (voltage) and see if that helps. If it still fails Prime95, try one stick at a time to see if you have a bad one.

If they both do it, its likely its something else.
