Thread: bearing cpu instability

    alright well.... my cpu gets kinda whacky at 2.88, but im wondering if theres any danger in ruining it if i can just live with the wierd stuff it does like not finish 3dmark2001, take away my sound occasionally in games. i didnt change the voltage so theres no heat problems....
    ASUS P4S800 motherboard
    P4 2.4ghz 800mhz fsb HT @ 2.84
    geiL 512 PC3200 RAM
    80GB 7200RPM HDD
    PowerColor Radeon 9600XT
    Sound Blaster Audigy 2
    Creative Inspire 6.1 6600 speakers
    Dell Sony P1110 21'' monitor

    It's not the CPU.....i'm almost positive its your overclocked AGP and PCI buses freakin out...

    lock the agp/pci buses if u can. that's what i think would work. btw soul, nice icon :D

    When i overclock my cpu to 2.88 its unstable, because when i run aquamark i see artifacts from the video card...so i think its the agp going crazy too :cheers:

    Unfortunately I don't think the SiS chipset can lock the agp/pci. You might just have to run them with a higher divider.

    no :steam: i dont have most of those options. is there a way i can get that bios? i cannot for the life of me figure out how to lock the frequencies even though my mobo website link says its an overclocking feature. and im not crazy either soulburner has seen the website too

    I know that's for the 875 chipset but I thought it might have been used elsewhere...

    what that bios? that looks nothing like mine. mines like grey and stupid. is there a way for me to get a bios like that with those options?
