I didn't give any opinion here, only fact. And, no one here was giving any bad information.

If you read what I said you would see that I commented on the fact that overclocking results greatly rely on the stepping of the CPU. Some will do high overclocks and need high voltages. Some won't need as much voltage, and some wont get high overclocks. That is fact. If he needed 1.95v to reach that speed, great, he obviously has it set there for a reason.

You're exact post, you're only post, and all of your post:

You've stated yourself you have no personal experience with these things. I'm suggesting you stop giving advice which is simply stuff you read on other websites. You're advice has the potential to be not only incorrect but damaging as in this case.

It is irritating to constantly see posts from you with implied negative comments toward other people's hardware. It would be much simpler for everyone if you just wrote "shoulda built an Intel system" instead of all the skewed misinformation you keep spreading. I really think you should try to get a job with Intel if you haven't already.

I'm asking you please to stop doing this and to stop clicking on the "Report this post to a moderator" link at the bottom of the post everytime someone points this out to you.....please! This is not a personal attack, this is not an insult to you, this is begging you to be more considerate and think about what you say before you say it.

    1. How is my advice potentially damaging? He already has it set.

    2. I don't see this "Report this post to a moderator" button. Maybe im not looking hard enough.....

Man you guys know how to take over a thread donít ya.
    : peace2: All

Scribe, Iíd have to agree with Wiggo. Do you really need that much voltage? Too much can be lethal to your cpu. Thatís more than likely why your temp is on the high side. What are your case temp and your room temp? Itís a good OC but try turning the voltage down and see if it remains stable. Let us know what happens.

He might just have a crap 2500+.

Mine topped out at 2260mhz no matter how much voltage I gave it. Went all the way up to 1.95, which I still wouldn't have run because it was air cooled (MCX462/92mm tornado). Some chips just really need that much voltage.
