    hallo!

well, after reading, i must say, DAMN! u guys are totally outta this world! i mean, 1909MHz! sick dude!

    results:

after oc'ing my 1800+ (T-Bred), 281.05MHz of FSB and processor speed of 140, i got, 1.613MHz. im using stock cooling (cooler master official AMD Athlon XP cooler and a 450W PSU (normal, no fans or fancy blue led)) the temp is about right. when i starts, 41 degrees celsius. in windows, idle: about 38 degrees celsius. when workload present: (highest ive seen) 58 degrees celsius. no more than that. its perfectly stable! even in unreal 2 and ut2003.

theres one thing that chaffs my ass tho. i cant turn the cpu multiplier to another value. ive tried 11.5x with 140MHz. it returned an error on the bios screen. i resolved on using the 'Auto detect" option.

oh by the way, im using VCool program to cool my cpu. COol man! its the most perfect Athlon and Duron cooler. visit:
    http://vcool.occludo.net/

im looking at amd athlon 64 FX 51. i wanna buy. with my money now, i could buy 6 of them. but, is it worth it cuz i dun want to buy buffered rams. or should i wait for nforce3 pro 250 and the athlon 64 fx 53 or shud i just go with opteron 246?

ill try everyone's suggestion. we'll just see if i succeed to oc 1909Mhz or if i succeed to see my tbred fry.... hehehehe.

just precision here, my 250w only powers my mobo and a relay that controls the AT power supplie(200W) that powers everything else.
Oh and for the instability problem, the A7S333 is capable of 333 mhz memory but 266 fsb cpu, and i cant lock the pci speed, so its like 38mhz now! :wow: Not too good! I'm gonna eventually get a new pc with a Athlon FX 64 and a n-force 3 board (or better!)
    SYX -=AMD Powered=-
    AMD 1800+ @ 1880Mhz on A7S333 , 250 Meg DDR 333 Platinum @2-2-2-6
    Asus TNT 2 32 meg (128) , 250W ATX, 200W AT (same case)
Steel automotive intake fan (see avatar) , 3X40mm exaust fans in the back

....my journey on oc'ing the 1800+ didnt went well. ive tried cranking the cpu speed but it will not run if the speed is anything higher than 155Mhz. if i crank it until 155Mhz, it'll run at 1.705MHz but a lot of instability issues. i think my ram sucks ass. its a 266Mhz pc2100. time to get a new ram!

Yes, you're definitely limited by that PC2100. I'd try PC2700 at least. I've had good luck with Corsair ValuRAM. :thumb:

    Christiphoros,
Looks like our very own Tweaktown likes your 8K3A+, but it also mentions that without a divider for your AGP bus, you may be limited to 166MHz or so, depending on your video card. Nothing to do but to try, eh?

Just wanted to post an update:
My HTPC XP1800+ is alive and well, still overclocked to 1909MHz and running alongside an MSI FX5600, with a Leadtec TV card, Creative Audigy gamer, and a Netgear 802.11G wireless PCI card, single 120GB HD, CDROM and floppy.....all running off a 5 year old 150W PSU and folding 24/7.
    :wow:
I kinda ran it as a test as it's still set up in a donor eMachines carcass. Now either eMachines makes/buys a kickass and underrated PSU, or you just don't need as much power as most folks seem to think.
How's your OC adventures comning along Chris?

Ay. I'm a noob at oc'in but i overclocked my 1800+ to 2192 mhz. (177*12.5) Biostar m7ncdp, 512mb 3200 DDR. So i was wondering if i did something wrong. It seems i've overclocked higher than a lot of ppl in forums, but i'm using stock cooling. O yea, i had to use 1.7 voltage to stabilize it. The TEMP is hecka high, its on the mid 50's. I'm going to b getting another hs/f aero 7 lite anyway soon, but i just wanna know if having 50's for temp will screw anything up. Thanks.. :wow:

You probably got a good one, those are known to hit 2.5ghz on air if its the right stepping.

hahahaha! i was not here for a while, but i dissapear for a reason. to cut the story short, i bought a new rig (well, i assembled it actually). guess what? its an athlon64. hehehe. costed me a lot of money. the opportunity to be overclocked is not much. i use nForce 150. ill tell you if theres something wrong with it. cant wait for ut2003 64-bit (as if its in development) : peace:

my old rig is running well. i bought PC3200 rams. two sticks of 256mb. very good stuff. my AMD is running at 11.5 X 165 = 1897MHz. i wont go further up because the temperature is like hell. im still using stock cooling. maybe ill consider buying a prometeia (hehehehe). i used my new radeon 9800 pro. works fine but i noticed some misplaced polygons in gta:vc. maybe i clocked my gpu too high.

in development, athlon64 overclocking. i doubt it'll go higher than 2.2GHz.

    cheers mate!
