Well unless you have another idea I'd say try lowering your cpu speed a bit and re-running it :)

If it still crashes, then I dont have a clue why :/

Just lowered the CPU back down to stock....it ran fine at 15411 in 3DMark 2001. Strange....the A7N8X DX I'm running has an AGP lock, and I'd set it to 66Hz. I system restored it to eliminate software-based issues while still OCed on the processor. Had the same lockups. Never had this problem with my Ti4200 with the same exact CPU OC....guess I'll have to work it up from the bottom. : peace2:

That is weird. BTW, the agp voltage only raises voltage to the actual pins on the card which isn't good. It's meant to run at 1.5v and any higher can damage the card in the long run.

BTW, did you disable AGP Fastwrites? They don't give you any performance gains at all and it only causes stability problems on radeons from my experience.

Yes, I disabled them. I'm a bit tired and going to bed, but I'll have a go at it again tomorrow and post. Thanks for the help Sov :thumb:

Well, played with it a bit more today...I got the following with 180X11.5 CPU, GPU 401/345. Makes me wonder how much further she'll go :thumb:

Depending on how high you can get your CPU up to, that baby will definitely hit 19k or even 20k. What CPU/cooling/board/ram do you have btw?

My CPU is a Barton 2500+, A7N8X DX mobo, Corsair XMS PC3500 (2X256MB). Cooling is a bit strange as it's a Globalwin CAK something-or-other copper heatsink similar to a TT 7+ with a TT Smartfan2 modded onto it. A bit ghetto but it keeps my temps in the mid 30s Celsius. The GPU is a Sapphire OEM 9800 Pro 128MB with stock Sapphire cooling. I just added some OCZ BGA copper ramsinks to it, which seem to do well, though I have no temp gauge on the GPU. I was getting a few "anomalies" in 3DMark 2003 in the nature test for that last score.

Not bad Wordbiker! My Radeon 9800 Pro is at identical settings as yours, with current Omega drivers - i've got everything on (fastwrites, blah) and all is stable. Getting bout 6000 on 3DMark 2003 and can definitely go further!:) My 2600XP is at 12.5X176, so is barely stretched - but need to unlock, I want 11.5X200 at least (i have ddr400 Corsair).

nForce2 boards make the lower multis available without needing unlocking.
