Ok, I've had a few *attempts* at OC'in my Bios features which gave . . .less then satisfactory results.

I know you can adjust a whole heap of **** for the RAM, CPU and Vid cards like FBS, Voltage, Timings, ect.
Thing is, I dont know in what correlations. And screwing around with your bios is a seriously quick way to REALLY screw your box.

Are there any prog's that allow you to alter BIOS settings such as ones stated above without totally botchin your box?

I know you can do it the normal way and change the FSB and the clock speeds and stuff bit-by-bit untill u get the right settings, but last time I tried it, sort of spent the next week finding a new bios chip:(

SO, any info on *safer* ways to tweak would be nice.

I know of nothing in the way of a BIOS manipulation utility, but to be honest, I wouldn't want one. Too much time or not, there is no substitute to raising settings and then testing them to find the maximum speed your system will run with perfect stability.

As to the different BIOS settings themselves, Adrian's Rojak Pot has one of the best BIOS Optimization Guides on the net that I have found. It can help you figure out what the settings are for and then you can decide whether or not to adjust them.

    Good luck! :D

There are programs like SetFSB that let you do it from windows....but its not recommended because if you crash it while doing so you can corrupt windows.
