Thread: Newbie needs help with overclocking p4 2.8c

    I was wondering how much can i overclock a 2.8c
    Can anyone help me,
    My system's specs is as below:

    P4 2.8c
    Abit IC7 MAXII mobo
    Corsair Twinx memory
    Swiftech MCW5002 PT, & MCW20 Chipset cooler
    Antec 450 watts psu

    At the moment, i do not own the system yet, but planning 2 buy it
    early next year, just 2 see if its worthwhile for overclocking.....

    MAXII? There is a MAX3.......and by early next year there will be better processors out, namely Prescott.....better to wait and see what happens then to plan out a system now.

    FX5900 - 3DMark2001 [20,566] - 3DMark2003 [7,281] - Aquamark3 [56,694]
    Ti4400 - 3DMark2001 [16,028]

    Agreed. If you're gonna buy something next year, then ask the question next year. At the moment, there's no point trying to forecast what's gonna happen. Chances are some of those items won't even be around to buy at that stage...

    Umm Soulburner, Theres is a MaxII...I also own one...Namely the Abit IC7-G MAxII Advance
