Yeah, that's what this christmas is for, IM planning on buying a new mobo, memory, and probably a new cpu since I have this crappy northwood P4, which runs almost as slow as my friends 833 p3.

Well, I somehow seem to have a crappy P4, and it says it's a northwood, so I dunno.

The Northwood core has been through several incantations ranging from 100, 133, and 200mhz FSB speeds from 1.6-3.2Ghz.

So if I were to only get a new mobo, would I see lots of performance improvement from my CPU and overall system with some useful ocing?? Or is it not worth it, and should I just upgrade cpu, mobo, and memory altogether, and ditch this P4???

    MY recommendation. Upgrade it all.

Get an Asus P4C800 Deluxe or Abit IC7-G Max II or Max3

    Get a Pentium 4 2.4"C" with 800mhz FSB

    Twin 256mb Buffalo Technologies PC3700

Then get a Vantec Aeroflow, or other decent cooler for that P4
