What are the odds that this memory can run 250Mhz stable?

    Corsair CMX512-3200C2PRO XMS3200 512Mb DDR PC3200 CAS2 400MHz PRO series with activity LEDs

Or would this modules give me a better chance..?
(I dunno it's cas but they are the same price as the Corsair above)

Likely neither as that's PC4000 teritory but ya'd think that the KHX3500 would stand a better chance.

The odds are zero. Your best chance with any 3200 is something made with BH5 chips like mine, and it will take upwards of 3.4-3.6v to get there.

    ahh bad news.. lol

PC-4000 seem to be the best buy then, but all of em' are cas3.

Does the cas rating matter at that speed anyway..:?:

It does matter quite a bit, as 250 1:1 3-4-4-8 is usually slower in 3DMark01 than 250 5:4 2-2-2-5 even though Sandra shows more bandwidth with 1:1.
