    Please help me to run this system at 166Mhz. instead of lousy 133... Any advice?

    CPU:
    AMD XP 2000+ want to get upto 2600+

    Memory:
    512MB PC2700

    Heatsink:
    Came with CPU thus I dunno

    Cooling:
    80 mm back exhaust
    80 mm front intake
    PU fan

    Temparaute@133:
    idle, 41C
    load, 52C
    gen., 45C

    BIOS readings:
    CPU Vcore Voltage: 1.632V
    DDR Mem. Voltage: 2.496V
    CPU Freq: 133 MHz.
    DRAM Freq: 133MHz.
    CPU/DRAM: [1:1]
    Transistance is futile...

    1-Read The AMD overclocking guide!
    Get another heatsink!!!
    What are you case temps?
    Is this a N-Force2 board?
    SYX -=AMD Powered=-
    AMD 1800+ @ 1880Mhz on A7S333 , 250 Meg DDR 333 Platinum @2-2-2-6

    You need to get a new HSF, and we really need ya mobo name, tho L7S7A sounds like an ECS same, so OC;ing may be hard to come by

    Yep it's an ECS mobo with a stupid SiS chipset, a typical OEM board (why do ppl buy these things?). The main thing will be what BIOS options ya've been given that will help with overclockin' but is there a jumper on the mobo to select the proper FSB for the CPU? Even though I havn't laid hands on that particular model the best BIOS I've seen from them wasn't good. The HSF that ya have on it will likely just be a retail unit. : peace2:

    Sooo... Tell me.. I want to get a better motherboard.. I just wanna get the best out of my system... What's one of the best affordable mobos out there? With price ranges if you know...

    For your setup an nForce2 mobo made by a tier one manufacturer (Abit, ASUS, EPoX, Gigabyte, MSI, etc).

    I prefer the EPoX 8RDA3+ myself though others prefer the Abit NF7-S ver. 2.0 or ASUS A7N8X ver. 2.0.
