Thread: How do you overclock a GeForce4 TI 4200

  1. #1

I was wondering, does tweaktown have a guide for overclocking graphics cards? I couldnt find one... I am only going to be using mine for a little while longer before i try and get a new one, so i want to get the most out of it. If not, then what is a good link for a site with a guide that does?

Also, is it possible to damage any other hardware by overclocking a videocard to the extreme max (given that it doesnt catch fire!).

Yes you can damage your card by overclockin' too far. TT does have some guides but even though this one is done with a GF3 Ti200 the basic principles are still the same though this gamers optimization guide is a good read as well.

Whoo man, you got some big problems there. My rig, which is actually slower than yours, hits the 19,000+ mark all the time. Even at default speeds I see 17,000+. My suggestion is to check out this guide: Win XP: From Reformat to Relax this guide: WinXp Relax to Righteous and then this guide: System Optimization for Gamers

After all that, a nice defrag, driver updates, and maybe even a windows reinstall, see what kind of scores you are getting.
    The FatGuy's Rig:

    Come Crunch with TweakTown
