Thread: What do Artifacts look like?

    Radeon cards have two kinds of overclocking-related artifacts:

    1) 'snow' or white/black pixel blocks, caused by GPU core overclocking. These are best seen in 3dmark2003 in the Game3 as the girl enters the room, or the end of Game2 along the barrel of the gun.

    2) Black distorted triangles, caused by memory overclocking. They appear in all the games.

    So when overclocking, first run 3dmark2003 and watch carefully for either of these artifacts, and immediately quit and lower the appropriate clock if you see them.

    so, if the little white dots are artifacts, than like in 3DMark 2000
    when the ***** on the dragon is sporting a Phinochio nose that would be what, just ***** envy:confused:
