0332 means it was made in week 32 of 2003. They didnt start locking them till week 39. It's unlocked.

Ya'll find out once ya read the sticker on it but buyin' an XP3200+ ya'll likely get little out of lowerin' the multiplier as they're already runnin' on a 200MHz FSB so just raisin' the FSB more should be enough. Make sure that ya usin' PC3500 with it though (or some very good PC3200).

I just got done buying a week 21 2800+ off of ebay, I got it for 10 dollars under newegg retail, so Im very happy. You can get unlocked 2500 bartons off ebay for 120 US dollars, but I didnt want to spend 30 dollars more and not get anything extra, so I got a 2800 for 130 US dollars, and its unlocked.

Does it really matter wheter the chip is unlocked or not. Canīt you just OC it by raising the FSB? Like that you can get the chip (maybe) to 2300MHz and you also get the 200MHz FSB like those 3000+ and 3200+ Bartons! Thatīs how my friend worked it out. :)

Yes but you need to be able to find your max FSB, and then adjust the multi accordingly to put you at your max CPU speed for the overall fastest setup.

You can't do this with a locked CPU, althought the 2500+ already uses an 11 multiplier which is good.

But that FSB OC is a good back up plan to OC the locked 2500+, 2600+ and 2800+ Bartons. ;)
