i would like to oc this processor but im new to this, the last time i overclocked a processor was my old amd k-6 2 3d now 350 to 450 before it died on me (insufficent coolin)

this time im ready to this right, i have alot of extra fans and my case has been modified to breathe better

its an asustek p4sd-la mother board and there is no utility like ai to overclock it in the bios

also i have an intel extreme graphics 2 82865g video and yes i know it sucks but its just temporary but for now, i would like to also get some more power of it, any way to over clock it also?

    thanks

sorry, but all brand name computer motherboards lack overclocking features. the only way your gonna be able to overclock that cpu, is by getting a new motherboard

well, i used this prog called cpucool and my pll or whatever it is called i found out is ics 952606 and it wont overclock my fsb, it will actually underclocked it

so i chose the next one it was like 952607 and it overclocked my frequency from 2600 to 2800 and i thought the prog was just throwin numbers at me so i downloaded cpu-z and pc wizard and they also gave me a read out of 2.8 mhz

so is my pc really overclocked or is just throwin numbers at me?

What CPU-Z says goes, it is detecting speeds in real time.
